A welcoming and inclusive school in Heaton, Newcastle, is looking for a compassionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support Year 4 pupils with ASC and SEMH needs. What You ll Be Doing Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with autism and social, emotional and mental health needs Helping pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn Assisting with classroom routines, learning activities and smooth transitions throughout the day Working alongside the class teacher and SENDCo to implement tailored support strategies Being a consistent, trusted adult who pupils can rely on What We re Looking For Experience supporting children with ASC and/or SEMH (in schools or other settings) A calm, empathetic approach with clear boundaries A team player who can follow behaviour plans while using initiative Someone who genuinely enjoys helping children thrive even on the tougher days Why This Role?
