Our client is a top-tier global leader in retail and hospitality technology and are seeking an ambitious and experienced Business Development Manager to manage high-value enterprise accounts and win new business across the UK.
Trusted by major brands worldwide, our client delivers innovative, end-to-end solutions that combine hardware, software, and services into seamless, scalable platforms. Evolving from a hardware-centric legacy, they are now a full technology solutions and service provider—driving innovation through AI, cloud-native applications, and advanced service models.
Their UK and Ireland client base includes leading retailers across grocery, fashion, health and beauty, and membership-based retail. You will need to be in travelling distance of Leeds and London.
About the Role
You will be instrumental in growing existing accounts and acquiring new clients by selling integrated technology solutions to large-scale retail organisations. This role is suited to a high-energy, target-driven sales professional with a strong track record in complex B2B solution selling.
Key responsibilities:
Account Management
- Develop and grow existing enterprise retail accounts.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across hardware, software, and services.
- Work with pre-sales and delivery teams to shape solutions with strong ROI.
New Business Development
- Drive pipeline through proactive outreach and strategic prospecting.
- Identify new customers and build relationship with a view to long-term partnerships.
C-Level Engagement
- Build credibility and trust with senior decision-makers (CEO, CIO, CTO, COO)
- Lead consultative sales engagements showcasing business value.
Collaboration & CRM
- Partner internally across pre-sales, marketing, technical, and delivery teams
- Accurately manage pipeline and reporting using Salesforce
Travel
- Monthly visits to Leeds HQ and central London showroom
- Travel to client sites across the UK.
- Attendance at key trade shows and industry events
What We are Looking For
Experience:
- 5+ years in enterprise sales, selling integrated tech solutions (hardware + software + services)
- Retail industry experience (e.g. POS, self-checkout, IoT, commerce systems) preferred.
- Strong record of exceeding sales targets
Sales Skills:
- Solution-led, consultative sales approach (MEDDIC or similar)
- Confident influencing and presenting to senior executives.
Personal Attributes:
- Energetic, self-motivated, and results-focused
- Excellent communicator and strong team collaborator
Tools & Systems:
- Salesforce.com (or equivalent CRM) experience essential
Mobility:
- Must be willing and able to travel regularly across the UK.

Salary & Benefits
- Base salary: £70,000–£85,000 (60% of OTE)
- Commission: Quarterly variable compensation (40% of OTE)
