Join to apply for the Events Assistant role at NHS Blood and Transplant.

Job Summary

Come and join our Events team, who are involved in recruiting new blood donors at a variety of events, including shopping centres and workplaces. You will be required on an as and when basis working variable hours and days, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and bank holidays with mutual agreement and prior notice.

It’s best if you live within about 15 miles of where the events happen; some events happen on weekends, so you’ll need to be available occasionally. We offer extra pay for weekend shifts and will cover your travel costs based on our policy.

  • Providing reports to line manager on numbers of people seen and signed up as donors to continually monitor effectiveness of events.
  • Packing away all equipment and returning this to base for safe disposal of sharps and clinical waste.
