Are you a recent graduate looking to start a rewarding career in education? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school in Newham, starting immediately.

Role: Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA)
Start date: Immediate
Contract: Term-time only
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Location: Newham, East London

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about supporting young people and gaining hands-on experience in the classroom. You'll work closely with teachers and departments to provide academic and pastoral support, helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students across a range of subjects, both in class and in small groups

  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities

  • Help manage behaviour and encourage positive engagement in learning

  • Provide targeted support for students who may need extra help

  • Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities

    • We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds a degree (any subject considered)

  • Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to learn

  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Enjoys working with young people and inspiring confidence in them

  • (Experience in a school or tutoring environment is desirable, but not essential)
