Head of FP&A | Global Retail & Design Scaleup | London / Hybrid

New Today

Overview

Harmonic Finance is exclusively engaged by a global retail & design scaleup in their search for an FP&A Lead. The role reports to the CFO and supports a business with 25% year‑on‑year growth and turnover exceeding £70m. The company focuses on sustainably sourced, elegantly designed products and a design service element, with international markets including the UK, Europe and the US.

There is a genuine opportunity for an FP&A Lead to shape the next phase of growth by strengthening financial planning, maximising profitability, and leading 3 & 5 year strategic planning as well as automation/AI projects to deliver a best-in-class function.

The FP&A Lead will work with key stakeholders across the business (from the Commercial Director to senior management) to deliver forward-looking insights, optimize NetSuite and upskill non-finance stakeholders on budgets, forecasts and variance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the FP&A function, working closely with the CFO and Finance Controller to dial in the function.
  • Own the finance modelling process including production of the 3 & 5 year growth models, multi-entity, multi-currency models for growth and scenario planning.
  • Drive profitability and margin improvement through strategic analysis and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Optimise procurement, supply chain, and third-party warehouse operations to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Implement process improvements that streamline workflows and improve the speed of revenue recognition.
  • Build and maintain dashboards for real-time financial and operational KPIs on NetSuite.
  • Deliver 3–5 year plans and forecasts aligned with the business strategy.
  • Partner with Finance Managers in the UK, Europe, and US to ensure robust international reporting.
  • Collaborate with heads of operations, procurement, and logistics to link financial targets with operational delivery.
  • Present quarterly forecast updates and recommendations to the board and business unit heads.
  • Lead ad-hoc strategic projects, including vendor due diligence, legal due diligence, and sales processes.
