OverviewMy highly successful international boutique consultancy client is looking for a Senior Manager/Director level management consultant to join their growing Retail performance improvement team. The Retail team works with healthy, under-performing and distressed companies across a variety of urgent, high impact situations, helping clients deliver significant improvement in business performance and enterprise value across all subsectors within the Retail industries.You will need an excellent level of education for this role along with experience from a recognised, leading or specialist boutique management consultancy ideally with industry expertise within the retail sector, but with a desired focus on direct sourcing and end-to-end sourcing improvement.ResponsibilitiesHands-on delivery in retail sourcing with expertise in specific delivery experience in retail sourcing.Management consultancy experience.Led sourcing departments / the sourcing of specific categories.Overhauled the sourcing strategy for apparel brands/retailers and familiarity with current sourcing and supply chain dynamics.Excel modelling capability to estimate impacts from sourcing/negotiation shifts.Assess pros/cons of different Go-to-Market processes – speed models versus longer calendar approaches.Design and Product Development process.Qualifications12+ years of relevant experience.Experience from a recognised, leading or specialist boutique management consultancy, ideally with retail sector expertise and a focus on direct sourcing and end-to-end sourcing improvement.Compensation and TermsThis role offers base salary up to £165,000 + extensive benefits + very competitive bonus.Employment detailsSeniority level: DirectorEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Consulting and ManagementIndustries: Business Consulting and ServicesThere is a single P&L, no audit channel and no sales target with this role.
