About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Merchandising Assistant to support our buying and merchandising team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the beauty industry and eager to develop their careers in merchandising, assortment planning, and retail operations. As a Merchandising Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth product operations, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and supporting brand partnerships across various channels and markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Support with tracking stock levels, monitoring sell-through rates, and working with the buying team to manage replenishments, ensuring optimal stock levels.
• Purchase Order Coordination: Assist in executing and managing purchase orders, track deliveries, and liaise with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely arrivals.
• Product Catalogue Management: Ensure accurate product pricing, costing, attribution, and discontinuation of obsolete SKUs.
• Sales and Performance Reporting: Support the team with data entry and analysis, generating weekly and monthly reports on product performance, trends, and key sales insights.
• Supplier & Brand Communication: Act as a liaison between Skin Cupid and suppliers to confirm order details, track shipments, and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
• Promotional Planning & Execution: Assist in planning optimal inventory levels for promotions, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
• Allocations: Assist in distributing stock across channels to optimise availability and sales performance.

Essential Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and trends.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• High level of curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about merchandising and product management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
• Strong sense of accountability, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and follow through to completion.
• Proactive mindset with a can-do attitude, eager to contribute in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and other analytical tools and Shopify is a plus.
• Passion for beauty and an understanding of product trends; familiarity with Asian/Korean beauty is a plus.
