Job Description

  • Manage production operations including machinists, welders, and assemblers
  • Develop and execute manufacturing plans to ensure on-time delivery and quality
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process improvements
  • Improve production planning and purchasing coordination
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team achievement
  • Coach and mentor team members to maximize performance and quality
  • Conduct performance reviews and enforce company policies
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new production staff
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and customer service teams
  • Promote open communication and a team-first approach

    The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience managing manufacturing operations with machining as a core process
  • Background in low-volume job shop production environments
  • Demonstrated success in implementing manufacturing plans and process improvements
  • Experience leading teams of 15+ employees
  • Certified in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green/BlackBelt required)
  • Strong engineering mindset with data-driven problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with MRP systems, P&L management, and Excel
  • Strong leadership qualities: accountable, team-oriented, disciplined, and approachable
