Contract Portfolio Test Manager

Retail Client | Inside IR35 | Hybrid (occasional travel to Southampton)

We’re looking for a Portfolio Test Manager to support a major retail client as they pull together a collection of critical deliveries into a unified programme outcome.

This is a high-impact, senior-facing role — requiring someone who’s seen the inside of complex programmes and knows how to bring order, structure, and confidence to fragmented delivery landscapes.

Consulting mindset essential — you'll be expected to influence, steer and challenge, not just report and react. You’ll act as the test authority across multiple workstreams, engaging senior stakeholders, 3rd party suppliers, and internal teams alike.

What we need:

• Extensive retail experience – you understand the pace, complexity and business-critical nature of retail delivery
• Proven ability to manage programme-level testing across multiple suppliers and delivery teams
• Confident working across varied delivery models (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and aligning them towards a shared goal
• Strong consulting background – credible in front of the board, clear with delivery teams
• Gravitas, strategic thinking, and top-tier stakeholder management
