Research Analyst - Retail, Sport and Hospitality SectorsResearch Analyst - Retail, Sport and Hospitality Sectors - Law - UK WideA leading international law firm is recruiting a Research Analyst to deliver a high-quality sector aligned research and analysis service. The role will align to the firm's offering in Retail, Sport & Hospitality, producing a mix of proactive and enquiry-led actionable insight through written reports and presentations using both desktop and primary resources.The successful candidate will work closely with the sector leadership team and Business Development to understand and analyse core trends, challenges and opportunities. The role involves developing and promoting content that supports and informs sector strategy, and positions the firm for new client opportunities.This role will be part of a newly established and dedicated function in the firm that provides full spectrum legal services to these sectors. The position is attached to one of the firm’s offices in either Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh or Glasgow.The primary objectives and responsibilities in this Research Analyst role include but are not limited to:Leading complex research projects and requests aligned to Retail, Sport or HospitalityThe provision of outputs such as sector or company reports, presentations and thought piecesInfluencing, making recommendations and engaging with sector leads and key stakeholdersMaking extensive use of internal and third-party information resources to identify opportunitiesContributing to thought leadershipDeveloping innovative research solutions using third-party tools, AI and bespoke approachesTo be a suitable candidate for this Research Analyst role, a mix of the following is required:Proven ability to produce actionable sector and client research and insight, ideally gained in a legal, professional services or research environmentAn understanding of the Retail, Sport or Hospitality sectorsExperience with both desk and primary researchAbility to distil information and data-sets into actionable insight and recommendationsRefined stakeholder management, relationship building and engagement skillsAn ability to work on concurrent and at times, conflicting projects and prioritiesLocation: Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh or Glasgow.
