Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:In this position you will:Coordinate daily tasks of retail assistants alongside the retail manager, and manage staff in their absence.Advise customers on health and grooming requirements.Complete sales transactions, as well as extended till responsibilities including exchanges, refunds and price changes.Ensure the pharmacy (and pharmacy merchandise) is kept in a clean and tidy state.Assist the Retail Manager with stock management and ordering of the store.Assist the Retail Manager with the preparation and execution of promotional activity within the store.Report any preventable losses, inclusive of theft, damaged stock and short sent deliveries.Coordinate opening and closing of the store, where applicable.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Your typical duties and tasks will be to:Communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, including patients and pharmacy staffSell and advise customers on a range of over the counter (OTC) medicines, complimentary medicines and beauty/grooming productsAssist customers with common health problemsAnticipate customers’ needs when recommending and/or advising on additional products that compliment the products and services requested by the customerTo manage pharmacy stock including general merchandising, administrative duties, ordering stock and pricingSupervise and direct the activities of retail assistantsAccurately complete sales transactions, including refunds, exchanges and price changesManage the presentation and storage of pharmacy merchandise, ensuring the pharmacy is kept in a clean and tidy stand, including managing window displaysMinimise instances of shoplifting, alerting security personnel and other team members of potential risks and reporting security risks and thefts to management and/or security guards when applicableAttend to telephone enquiriesAlways keep customer and employee information private and strictly confidentialCreate and maintain effective relationships with patients, customers and pharmacy staffTake all reasonable care for your own and others safety and wellbeing while at workMake sure you know and comply with all safety instructions and operating proceduresAction and/or delegate MyComms Tasks and emails as appropriate to ensure all Head Office instruction are followed on time, including managing Petty Cash, Stock Adjustment reviews and stock transfer requestsAssist with set up of new stores where appropriate and as discussed with your Retail manager and the National Manager – Store OperationsPERSON SPECIFICATION:Suitable candidates should demonstrate the following:Demonstrated capability to perform effectively as a pharmacy assistantDemonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers from different cultural backgrounds and with varying health issuesDemonstrated ability to verbally express thoughts, information and ideas in a clear, concise, accurate and coherent way using an appropriate mannerAble to demonstrate an ability to organise self to achieve work programme, meet deadlines and manage conflicting deadlines and requirementsDemonstrated commitment to the provision of quality servicesWell groomed and well presentedHonesty, integrity and an understanding of the significance #J-18808-Ljbffr
