Site Manager – Retail Store Refurbishment (Bradford)

Rate: £270–£280/day

Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire

Role overview

Lead a fast-track retail store refit for a main contractor.

Manage installation of fixtures, finishes, lighting, flooring, and signage.

Oversee subcontractors, site operations, and daily progress.

Key responsibilities

* Plan and execute refurbishment per programme

* Read and interpret technical drawings and shopfitting plans

* Manage subcontractor schedules and coordination

* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce CDM & health & safety

* Perform snagging, inspections, and final checks

* Complete daily reports, diaries, RAMS, and handover documentation.

Essential qualifications

* Valid CSCS card (Black/Manager minimum; Gold/Platinum )

* SMSTS

* 3 day First Aid at Work

* Asbestos awareness

* Fire Marshall

* Proven retail refurbishment/refit experience

Technical skills & experience

* Proficient with hand tools and fit-out techniques

* Strong knowledge of construction standards and CDM regs

* Effective time management and problem-solving in live environments

* Clear, structured documentation (logs, reports)
