We re currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in one of our SEMH secondary schools in Salford. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact in the lives of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This may include young people who are struggling with Anxiety, OCD, Autism and challenging behaviour.
What You ll Be Doing As a Teaching Assistant, you ll be an essential part of the classroom team, helping to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Supporting students in lessons, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
Helping students stay focused and engaged in their learning. Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation using calm and consistent strategies. Building strong relationships with students to foster trust and confidence.
Supporting students with SEMH needs, including those who may display challenging behaviour. Always promoting safeguarding and wellbeing. What We re Looking For We re looking for individuals who are caring, resilient, and ready to make a difference.
You ll be a great fit if you have: Experience working with young people with SEMH or SEN needs (school, youth work, care, or similar settings). Strong communication and teamwork skills. A nurturing and empathetic approach to behaviour support.

Two years of employment references. Safeguarding training (provided by us). All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
