SEN 1-1 Teaching Assistant

Contract – Part Time and Full Time

Who we’re seeking:

• Experience supporting children with SEN, such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• A calm, empathetic, and supportive approach tailored to the needs of individual pupils.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a proactive attitude.
• A genuine passion for inclusion and helping children reach their potential.
• Previous school-based experience or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

About the role:

• Provide 1:1 classroom and pastoral support for a pupil with specific learning or emotional needs.
• Adapt learning materials and teaching strategies to meet individual targets.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and review personalised support plans.
• Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
