We’re looking for a calm, compassionate, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

This is more than a job — it’s a chance to help students access learning in their own unique way, from sensory sessions to small victories that mean the world.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting pupils with complex physical and learning needs in a classroom setting
• Assisting with personal care, mobility, and communication needs
• Creating sensory-friendly learning spaces alongside experienced staff
• Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support
• Using assistive technology and communication aids to enhance engagement

What we’re looking for

• Must have previous experience working with PMLD or complex needs
• Confident supporting personal care and manual handling (training desirable)
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Someone who sees potential in every child, no matter how small the step
• Thrive training is a big plus – and if you haven’t done it yet, we’ll cover it for free!
