About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting students with complex learning, behavioural, and communication needs. Working closely with teaching staff, you’ll help tailor educational experiences that are engaging, inclusive, and supportive.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students in developing communication, emotional regulation, and independence skills

Assisting in the delivery of structured lessons and learning activities

Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and adaptive learning environment

Supporting teachers with resource preparation and small-group interventions

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support for students with additional learning, behavioural, or sensory needs

Build positive, trusting relationships with young people

Follow individual learning and support plans

Use initiative and adapt strategies to meet students’ varying needs

Contribute to intervention sessions and classroom planning
