Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs?

An inclusive and forward-thinking Primary School in Haringey is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to join their brand-new specialist provision. This exciting new setting supports up to 10 children with complex needs and behavioural challenges — and the school is seeking someone with compassion, creativity, and resilience to help shape this new chapter.

The Role

No two days will be the same in this dynamic and rewarding environment. You’ll be working closely with pupils who need additional support to engage positively with learning, helping them build confidence, emotional regulation, and social skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs

• Providing one-to-one and small-group interventions in a nurturing environment

• Assisting with tailored learning plans alongside teachers and SEN specialists

• Promoting inclusion and positive behaviour through consistency and empathy

• Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals

This is a full-time, long-term role for someone who can commit until the end of the academic year and wants to make a lasting impact.

About You

You’ll be ideal for this role if you:

• Have experience supporting children in SEN, ARP, or PRU settings
• Are confident managing challenging behaviour with calm and consistency
• Thrive in a stimulating, creative, and ever-changing environment
• Believe in every child’s potential and value inclusion at the heart of your practice

About the School

This happy, community-focused school celebrates diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Serving a rich mix of linguistic, social, and cultural backgrounds, they strive to ensure every child becomes a confident, successful learner who thrives both now and in the future.

This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to be part of something new, meaningful, and life-changing.
