Do you have a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)?
We're looking for experienced, understanding, and resilient Teaching Assistants to work with KS2 pupils who need that extra bit of care and encouragement to thrive.
About the Role:
You'll be joining a dedicated team within a caring primary school environment, supporting children in KS2 who may need help with managing emotions, behaviour, and engagement in learning. Every day is different - but always rewarding!
Your role will include:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with emotional needs
Helping children develop positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation
Supporting access to learning across the curriculum
Building strong, trusting relationships to help children feel safe and understood
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external agenciesWe're Looking For:
✅ Proven experience working with children with EBD / SEMH needs (KS2 experience preferred) as a Teaching Assistant
✅ A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✅ A Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent experience)
✅ A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
