About the Role:
Protocol Education is seeking a passionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Croydon. This role gives you the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs.

Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual learning needs.

Encourage positive behaviour, participation, and independence among pupils.

Support children’s emotional and social development in a nurturing way.

Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based or similar setting).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
-
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
-
A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
