Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you have the patience and compassion to help pupils overcome challenges in their learning journey?

Supply Desk is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join supportive and inclusive schools in Rickmansworth. This full-time, temporary-to-permanent role will start ASAP or in October 2025.

In this role, you’ll be providing essential one-to-one and small group support to children with a range of needs, including autism, SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health), and other learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering in-class and intervention support to students with SEND
Assisting with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Helping foster independence, self-esteem, and social skills in pupils
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to tailor teaching approaches
Contributing to an inclusive, positive, and nurturing classroom environment

What We're Looking For:

Experience working with children with SEND is preferred but not essential
A compassionate, patient, and supportive approach
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
A firm commitment to safeguarding and pupil well-being
