SEN Teaching Assistants

Are you dedicated to supporting students with special educational needs to reach their full potential during their journey in education? If so, we want you to join us! Tradewind Recruitment are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a 1-1 basis with students in a range of secondary schools in the Canterbury area. These will be a full time positions starting immediately until the end of the school year - daily rate of between £88.94 and £100 depending on experience.

The role:

Provide 1-1 support to a student with SEN helping them access the curriculum and develop essential skills
Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies for the student
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where the student feels valued and supported
Monitor the student's progress and feedback observations to the SENCO and teaching teamRequirements:

Experience of working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting would be preferred although any relevant experience would be considered
Understand the different learning styles and strategies needed to support diverse needs
Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for working with young people
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
