Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) Location: Cardiff CF5 Start Date: January 2026 End of academic year July 2026 (possibility of extension) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 3:30pm Pay: 90 per day Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual who loves helping children reach their full potential? We re looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in a mainstream school in the Cardiff CF5 area . This is a wonderful opportunity to make a genuine difference in a child s educational journey while working as part of a supportive, friendly team.

Ideally, we d love to get you cleared and familiar with the school before Christmas so you can meet the team and start the new term with confidence. The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you ll be providing 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to: Access learning in a way that suits their individual style Develop confidence, social skills, and independence Engage in classroom activities and build positive relationships Follow personalised learning plans set by teachers and SEN staff Transferable Skills That Make You Shine You don t need to have worked in a school before if you ve supported children, young people, or individuals with additional needs in any setting, we d love to hear from you. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
