Are you a caring and motivated individual with a passion for guiding pupils to reach their full potential in the classroom?
GSL Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in Worksop. This is an excellent opportunity to support teaching staff and make a real difference in pupils’ learning and development.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Work with pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and provide additional support.
- Help create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Assist in monitoring and providing feedback on pupil progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to enhance learning outcomes.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting pupils in a classroom or SEN setting is desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to supporting learning and behaviour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for helping pupils succeed academically and personally.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
