About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking a resilient, empathetic, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide focused 1:1 support for young people with a range of disabilities, Special Educational Needs (SEN), and Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is up for a challenge and thrives in dynamic environments. Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly are essential, as you’ll be working with pupils across a range of key stages and who may struggle to engage in a typical classroom setting.

Your role will be to help these young people feel safe, understood, and capable of progress. A calm and patient approach, confidence in working across key stages, and strong relationship-building skills are key. The ability to remain composed under pressure and apply effective de-escalation techniques will be vital in supporting pupils emotionally and academically.
