Location: Birmingham and Surrounding Areas Position: 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant Type of Work: One-to-one support for a child with SEND within a mainstream primary classroom Contract/Position Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Full Time/Part Time Minimum Rate of Pay: Negotiable Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
The Role:
Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with specific SEND needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech & language difficulties Adapt learning materials and approaches to suit the childs individual needs Support the pupils academic, social, and emotional development Maintain accurate records of progress and share feedback with the wider team Contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting (essential) Have experience in a 1:1 role or similar (preferred)Requirements to Work with Prospero Teaching:
Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold a valid, enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one) Provide two child-related professional references covering the last two years Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy. The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy. Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people is responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people
