Organisation Overview:

A leading Pharmacy Group across the UK are looking for an ambitious ACT or Pharmacist to step up to area manager, taking responsibility for 11 branches between Newport and Merthyr.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a patient-oriented Pharmacist passionate about increasing the quality and quantity of service delivery in the local community. The successful candidate could be Pharmacist or ACT looking to progress their career.

• Provide operational leadership across multiple pharmacy locations.
• Coach, mentor, and develop pharmacy teams, including Pharmacists, ACTs, Technicians, and support staff.
• Ensure full compliance with GPhC standards, SOPs, governance, and all regulatory frameworks.
• Drive commercial performance, including service delivery, KPIs, and optimisation of pharmacy workflow.
• Oversee recruitment, team development, colleague engagement, and performance management.
• Support the rollout of new services and business initiatives across the region.
• Conduct regular branch audits, service quality reviews, and action plans.
• Lead on patient-centric service improvement and exceptional healthcare delivery.
• Act as a key link between Head Office functions and frontline teams.
• Provide cover as a responsible pharmacist when required (if a Pharmacist).
