Do you have a technical mindset, commercial hunger, and experience selling solutions – not just products?We are the leading materials supply business operating in Northern Ireland, part of a global group of businesses, working across aggregates, sand, concrete, roof tiles, asphalt and building materials.We are looking for a high-performing, commercially focused expert to join our team and drive growth through strategic customer relationships, solution-based offerings, and new business development.What will you do:The opportunity to represent the market leader in Northern Ireland, deliver stand-out quality construction projects across a range of sectors, clearly showing our values in quality, safe working, innovation & people collaboration, which creates the differenceEngage with contractors, merchant customers, housebuilders, infrastructure clients, and specifiers across Northern Ireland to understand their challenges and help develop tailored material-supply solutionsDevelop technical credibility to present our product portfolio and value-added solutions (for example, CEVO low-carbon concrete, specialist surfacing, add-on products/services) and differentiate us in the market with an emphasis on sustainable and innovative solutionsBuild and maintain strong commercial relationships – managing existing accounts, growing share of wallet, and acquiring new customers across your given sectorDevelop territory business plans with specific emphasis on key sectors, sales forecasts, and pipelines; identify market opportunities, understand competitor activity, and shape the offer accordinglyWork collaboratively with internal teams (technical, operations/logistics, credit, and sales admin) to ensure smooth delivery, excellent service, accurate pricing/quoting, and margin targets are metCollaboration with colleagues in the wider CRH group to create innovative customer solutionsNegotiate commercial terms, pricing, contract conditions, and contribute to tender responses or supply agreements as requiredMeet or exceed sales targets, margins, new business KPIs and support broader business objectives (such as sustainability goals, new product launches, etc.)What we are looking for:You have ambition - to move your career to a new level with a Global Brand and local footprintYou have sales experience – ideally in the construction materials, concrete/aggregates, or heavy building-products sector (or equivalent industrial/technical sales)Solution-based selling mindset - Bringing a collaborative approach to customer needs and providing commercial solutions for the challenges of today and tomorrowStrong interpersonal and influencing skills – Proven track record of building strong relationships at all levels of businessCommercial acumen – ability to understand margin, pricing, cost-drivers, and work with internal stakeholders accordinglySelf-motivated and organised – you will manage a territory, pipeline, and multiple stakeholdersIT literate – MS Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc., ability to manage quotes/forecasts.Time management – Ability to manage time and plan a diary effectively to maximise outputFull UK driving license - willingness to travel across Northern Ireland territory, and beyond as requiredDesirable: Technical knowledge or aptitude – ability to understand and communicate product characteristics and solutions to both customers and intermediariesStrong desire for self-developmentWhat do we offer:Competitive base salary & bonusCompany car or car allowance & mileage/travel expenses34 days holidayPension scheme, private medical cover or access, employee assistance programmePersonal Development – technical, commercial & leadership developmentThe chance to work for a trusted materials business that has a strong footprint in the construction sector, delivers large-scale infrastructure/housebuilding and values operational excellence, safety, and sustainabilityHow to Apply:Send your CV and a short cover note (no more than one page) outlining your relevant sales/technical experience and why you believe you will succeed in this role.
