Assistant Merchandiser

Salary £32,000 DOE

We have partnered with a well-known retail apparel brand to find an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to support the Merchandiser with trading, range planning and making commercial decisions for the department.

This role reports into the Merchandiser as a key member of the Merchandising team and would be ideal for an experienced Merchandising Assistant looking to make a step up, or an existing Assistant Merchandiser looking for an exciting new challenge.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to support the commercial strategy across all stores and online.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and optimise range plans and line cards to support commercial objectives.
• Update the department WSSI
• Analyse stock and sales performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Monitor stock levels and cover, taking proactive actions to maximise sales and minimise lost revenue.
• Create accurate size ratios
• Ensure replenishment systems remain accurate, efficient, and fully up to date.
• Review weekly sales performance, support forecasting, and contribute to in season trading adjustments.
• Prepare weekly trading data and coordinate timely distribution of sales reports to key stakeholders.
• Manage line cards in conjunction with the Merchandiser.
• Collaborate closely with merchandising, logistics, and retail teams to ensure smooth stock flow and trading execution.
• Provide operational support by stepping in for the Merchandiser when needed.

The Candidate

• Currently a strong Merchandising Assistant looking to step up, or an existing Assistant Merchandiser looking for a new challenge
• Strong analytical skills and great attention to detail.
• Someone organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
• A team player, with strong communication skills that can build positive working relationships.
• Commercially aware and confident in problem solving.
