OverviewBusiness Development Manager - East Midlands M1 Corridor (Ethnic Retail / World Foods Sector). Reporting to the Head of Sales, responsible for East Midlands (M1 corridor) and driving business development across the Eagle Foods product range into the independent retail sector.This role involves developing a sales strategy, conducting market research, building leads, and approaching new customers to assess their requirements and gain new stockists. Experience in World Foods or Ethnic Retail is ideal. If you can speak Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Turkish or Arabic it would be a great advantage.ResponsibilitiesOwnership and delivery of agreed financial targets related to your sales territory.Retention of existing clients and development of new, solid relationships within the area.Development and execution of customer spend development plans.Proactive lead generation and identification of new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.Work closely with and provide feedback to other departments.Timely and accurate forecasting of revenues by client and product.Understand customer needs to develop sales strategy.Daily reporting is required.Accountable for all sales activity.Qualifications and Ideal CandidateSales professional with tenacity and drive to explore new business; results driven and known for taking initiative.Proactive self-starter with the ability to motivate themselves, plus strong communication and influencing skills.Experience in driving a sales pipeline and confidently exceeding targets.Ability to demonstrate initiative and understand what makes a business successful.Experience in World Foods or Ethnic Retail is preferred.Language advantage: Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Turkish or Arabic is beneficial.About usEagle Foods Ltd has been established for over 20 years and has strong relationships within the food service, wholesale and retail sectors.
