Responsibilities

:
  • ,All responsibilities regarding underwriting, including, but not limited to:
  • Adoption of leading practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring, including the end-to-end underwriting process, from early origination discussions to development of credit approval memos and senior approval forums
  • Ensure Credit Approval Memo packages areplete and accurate.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of financial data, projection modelling, stress testing, and other in-depth analysis performed by junior resources.
  • Facilitate relationships with key clients in Banking and Risk, along with key regulators, Internal Audit, Banking & International Credit Risk and other control functions.
  • Review and address issues associated with the allocation of risk assets and risk capital in partnership with banking and product organizations.
  • Support the ICM Underwriting Industry Head on strategic initiatives/projects.
  • Support VOE initiatives
  • Client Relationships / Business Partnership:
  • Proven ability to understand nuances of local markets, local regulation, and the capabilities and practices ofpetitors.
  • Navigates organizationalplexity and breaks silos.
  • Creates and sustains a network of strong partnerships with the business in all segments & geographies and other risk functions.
  • Approaches transactions and client relationships with a solutions-oriented mindset while providing well-reasoned, balanced assessments of risk/return trade-offs.
  • Proven track record of partnering with global peers in leveraging and implementation of best practices.
  • Qualifications:
  • Experience of relationship banking or credit risk/risk-related work experience in banking/financial institutions
  • Experience in effectively engaging with internal control functions including Internal Audit and Fundamental Credit Risk.
  • Experience in and exposure to global credit risk management standards
  • Knowledge in understand capital markets products andplex financing and product structures.
  • Experience in providing strategic insights and strong sensitivity to macro and regulatory issues, and impact of such issues on the various Risk families, including operational and franchise risks.
  • Demonstrates strong ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to understand the 'big picture' in aplex environment.
  • Strong verbal & writtenmunication skills. Active listening skills.
  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiating ability, resolve conflicts amongst various constituencies.
  • Advanced presentation skills - adept at presenting effectively to audiences of various sizes and various constituencies.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
