ROLE SUMMARY
As an eCommerce Retail Media Director, you will spearhead the overall management and strategic growth of clients' eCommerce operations, acting as a key business partner and thought leader. Responsible for delivering transformative eCommerce strategies you will drive revenue growth and ensure alignment between client objectives and agency services. The position requires a blend of strategic vision, commercial acumen and team leadership to oversee large-scale projects and foster long-term client relationships.
This role is ideal for a strategic, entrepreneurial and results-oriented leader who can drive both client success and agency growth in the rapidly evolving eCommerce landscape.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic direction and guidance for clients, creating tailored commerce approaches that support brand equity and commercial growth
- Lead the development and activation of full funnel commerce strategies across key platforms, ensuring measurable business outcomes
- Design and implement collaboration frameworks that drive effective partnership between agency and commerce teams, ensuring alignment across strategy, planning and local execution
- Apply a deep understanding of the retail media landscape—including retailer networks, tools and data—to guide holistic commerce planning
- Ensure Flywheel is embedded as a strategic partner in planning and activation processes, supporting coordinated strategies
- Oversee the development of client roadmaps and business plans, aligned with brand and sales priorities
- Define KPIs and learning agendas to ensure strategy is performance-led and data- informed
- Contribute to new business development through insights, strategy development and thought leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, building strong relationships and understanding their unique business challenges
- Work with the Head of eCommerce to identify growth opportunities and maintain profitability across key accounts
- Mentor and lead eCommerce teams, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional growth
- Build relationships with key suppliers and vendors to stay afront of product changes and innovation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and competitive landscapes to inform decision- making
Flexible Working
At Omnicom Media Group, we are committed to supporting flexibility for our peoplewhile fostering collaboration, innovation, and teamwork. We have a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two working remotely), to ensure that we meet the needs of both our people and our business, balancing the benefits of in-person connections with the flexibility of remote working. Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that’s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
