Westland Horticulture is a market-leading gardening manufacturing company known for innovation, quality, and excellence. We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee and enhance safety and environmental practices in Ellesmere Port.


This role is critical in supporting our General Manager in fostering a strong culture of safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. You will be a key driver in implementing HSE best practices to help the organisation remain compliant, efficient, and sustainable in its manufacturing operations.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include:


Health & Safety


  • Promote develop a Safety Culture across Ellesmere port site
  • Establish and maintain a robust safety culture across manufacturing units.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions for all employees to promote safe work practices.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols, conduct audits, and ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Oversee incident investigations and identify preventive measures.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Practical working knowledge of improving safety in a manufacturing environment with a NEBOSH general certificate
  • Has developed a ‘’safety culture’’ in an industrial setting
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance
  • Familiarity with safety audit processes and safety management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with government bodies and internal teams
