The opportunity:
Due to our growth within the High-Net-Worth market, an exciting opportunity has arisen for this brand new role. As High Net Worth Leader, you will play a crucial role in creating and executing Zurich’s HNW growth strategy, building and leading a HNW team whilst evolving our approach to align with market needs.
If you have a strong technical underwriting background, ideally within the High-Net-Worth market, with the ability to lead and build excellent relationships, this could be the role for you.
Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. What will you be doing?
- Building strong business relationships with advisers, firms, reinsurers and other stakeholders to develop tailored insurance solutions and provide a market leading HNW underwriting service.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of specialist HNW underwriters, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality underwriting decisions.
- Proactively staying abreast of industry trends and best practice to inform and support development of and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth, profitability, and risk management.
- Lead reviews of the HNW underwriting philosophy using industry insights and analysis of internal data to refine underwriting approach
- Contributing to the development of new insurance products and services for the HNW market.
- Analysing HNW underwriting team data, identify trends and provide actionable insights to ensure accurate and cost-effective risk assessment and appropriate policy terms. Identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
- Ensuring our HNW underwriting practices comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
It is essential that you have strong technical underwriting skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills, along with the following:

- You will have established, strong high net worth underwriting experience with a track record of delivery for customers in the HNW market
- You will have strong interpersonal skills that can help us strengthen our stakeholder relationships
- A proven track record of securing/retaining business, and strong communicator who is able to make decisions.
