Collaborate with Senior Visual Merchandiser, contractors, and other external professionals to ensure that designs are executed accurately, within budget and aligning with business objectives.Principal designer (PD) - Responsible for the planning, management, and monitoring of a project's design and the health and safety during the pre-construction phase.Survey buildings at the feasibility stage.Prepare Stores, Shows and Trade show requirements in 3D/2D plans and elevations, working drawings, signage schemes and colour presentations for internal and external use, using CAD (Vector works) and Adobe Creative suite software.Manage planning, building regulations and relevant statutory approvals.Submit drawings to external project managers to obtain quotations for all works and manage quotations to ensure that work meets budgetary requirements.Manage PO’s and ensure they are raised and issued to contractors in time to meet project timescales.Manage assigned projects, be the company’s lead representative through the construction period to ensure that the build matches the design intent.Visit stores throughout each project to ensure that Principle Designer requirements are being met and will be built on time and on budget.Manage the brief to creative and marketing teams for the artwork required for shopfront opening vinyls through to In-store ImageryManage all Snagging and sign off completed projects.Managing store closures and check lists to ensure that equipment is being reutilised to provide maximum profitability.Design DevelopmentUndertake research to establish appropriate construction methods and materials having regard to the company’s intent to create a more portable, reusable and sustainable shop fit.Manage the store design guidelines and ensure they are updated to incorporate all new developments for internal and external use.PropertySupport the property team with design specs for maintenance issues.Support the Property Manager with site identification.Team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitudeWilling to adapt and take on new challenges, demonstrating innovation and initiative to suggest new ideas or ways of workingEnergetic, self - motivated and inspirationalLiaising with other internal departments, external agencies, contractors and suppliers.About You:From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you:The relevant experience to take on the responsibility of Principal Designer in line with CDM (Construction Design Management) 2015.Confidence using Vector Works and Adobe Suite.All New store Cad drawings, this is the total package (drawing pack that includes L1 to L3 as built).The ability to manage external contractors, Project Manager and suppliers.Process all relevant building control and planning applications.The willingness to travel within the UK and abroad.Strong stakeholder management capabilities.Pro-actively confident with drive and determination to succeed and strive for continuous improvement.What we value most here at Joules is your ability to really align with who we are as a Brand.So, if you:Have a keen interest in the fashion and retail industryAre fearlessly creative with ideas to shareAre not afraid to fail and growHave a genuine positivity for the future of our brand and all we can achieveAre adaptable and can embrace changeCan work collaboratively and are always ready to give it your allEnjoy celebrating successThen look no further, the role of Store Design Manager - Principal Designer was made for you!Where will you be working?This is a full time role based at The Barn - our Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire and field based working onsite either at one of our Stores or events.Your ApplicationDue to the high volume of applications received for our roles, please note that applications not accompanied by a relevant cover letter are unlikely to be progressed.SponsorshipIn accordance with Home Office guidance successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment.
