The Role
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support pupils across Year 1 and Year 2 in their learning and development.
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
• Help to prepare classroom resources and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to teaching staff and parents.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting school events and activities.
Requirements
We’re looking for a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant who:
• Has previous experience working in a primary school, ideally within Key Stage 1.
• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is reliable, proactive, and passionate about supporting young learners.
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check in line with safeguarding standards.
