You’ll play a key role in hedge accounting and the wider management of financial instruments, ensuring compliance with IFRS 9 and supporting Treasury in designing and maintaining effective hedging strategies.The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholdersLead the assessment and documentation of complex accounting issues under IFRSDevelop and maintain the Group accounting policy manual, ensuring consistent application across all entitiesPrepare technical accounting position papers for complex transactions or judgmental areas (e.g., business combinations, financial instruments, share-based payments, leases and impairment reviews)Support in interpreting and implementing new accounting standards and regulatory requirementsAct as the key liaison point with external auditors on technical accounting mattersLead the end-to-end hedge accounting process under IFRS 9Support the month-end and year-end close process by reviewing technical areas of the financial statementsPrepare or review disclosure notes for complex accounting areasAnd... we are a bank so risk is a part of everything we do.
