Production Control & Planning Manager Salary: c£70000 + benefits Location: Herefordshire Reporting to the Operations Director, the remit is to focus on the production capacity and material demand plans of the manufacturing site. The Production Control Manager will be empowered to create and maintain all capacity and demand plans and evaluate the necessary resources to meet on‑time delivery objectives. Responsibilities
Responsible for long‑range production and material planning process from customer order through to shipment. Management of a team of Production Planners. Ensure the production plan is integrated with raw material supply. Ensure the schedule will meet customer demand and will achieve the business revenue plans. Management of daily shipments to achieve revenue in accordance with plant targets. Create production plans quarterly/monthly using work‑to‑lists for operations, ensuring the plan is regimentally reviewed to reflect the product mix and yield losses, customer requirements. Implement and review an effective SIOP process to ensure that the demand and supply elements are balanced, cost effective and achievable. Management of WIP, inventory and raw material, optimising inventory to support production flow and OTIFD.
Experience
Have extensive demonstrable experience of raw material planning for high volume manufacturing. Extensive knowledge of managing complex high product variation production and material planning systems and working with global suppliers. Excellent ERP/MRP and IT skills and the ability to manage large amounts of complex data. Ability to manage change, meet deadlines and lead cross‑functional projects is also an important aspect of this role. Able to drive systematic and process‑driven activities focusing on attention to detail and right‑first‑time.
