Quantity Surveyor – Major Residential Scheme, Docklands (East London)\nLocation: Docklands, East London\nCompany: Tier One Residential Developer\nDay Rate: £320 – £350\n\nAbout the Company\nOur client is a leading Tier One residential developer, renowned for delivering high-quality, design-led communities across London and the South East. With an extensive pipeline of large-scale mixed-use and residential projects, they are now seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a flagship multi-phase development in Docklands, East London.\n\nThe Role\nAs Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be an integral part of an experienced commercial team, taking responsibility for the financial management of a range of internal and external packages from procurement through to final account. You’ll play a key role in ensuring commercial objectives are met while maintaining the company’s reputation for quality and value.\n\n * Manage allocated packages (both internal and external) through the full project lifecycle – from procurement to final account.\n\n * Prepare and monitor budgets, cost plans, valuations, and forecasts.\n\n * Assess subcontractor applications and variations, ensuring accurate and timely payments.\n\n * Work closely with design, construction, and procurement teams to ensure commercial efficiency and value engineering opportunities.\n\n * Produce accurate cost reports and support senior commercial management in monthly reporting cycles.\n\n * Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.\n\n * Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.\n\nAbout You:\n\n * Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).\n\n * Experience working on large-scale residential or mixed-use developments (ideally with a main contractor or developer).\n\n * Strong understanding of JCT contracts and procurement routes.\n\n * Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with keen commercial awareness.\n\n * Confident communicator and team player, able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\n\nFor more information please apply within or contact Aaron Billett at CSC Recruitment
