The Role:

As the Retail Finance Manager, you will take on a broad and impactful role, acting as a key partner in driving financial and business discipline by delivering accurate, timely insights that support profit-focused decision-making. This role sits within the UK & EU finance team, reporting into the Director of Brand Finance, with regular exposure to senior stakeholders including the Retail Director for the region. While the role does not currently have direct reports, there is scope for future team leadership opportunities. The successful candidate will also have access to support from a junior team member on an ad hoc basis, allowing them to focus on higher-level strategic and financial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior retail leaders, including the Retail and Finance Directors, providing commercial insight, approvals, and strategic business support.
• Represent finance in retail operations, attending key meetings and calls to influence decisions and embed a profit-focused mindset.
• Deliver weekly and monthly reporting on KPIs, store performance, payroll efficiency, and portfolio reviews, while providing analysis to guide tactical and strategic actions.
• Support growth initiatives through financial modelling and insights on new stores, renewals, promotions, capex, and other business cases.
• Lead the retail sales budgeting process, managing payroll and capex budgets, scenario planning, and liaising with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Contribute to long-range planning by offering data-driven insights on future store openings, comp assumptions, and other key P&L levers.

Qualifications

• About You:
• Proven post-qualification experience in commercial finance, and business partnering, ideally within a retail environment.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic business setting.
• Strong attention to detail, able to complete complex tasks accurately while managing senior-level responsibilities.
• Confident communicator, adaptable in style to build effective relationships across teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage own workload, work independently, and lead cross-functional projects efficiently and timely.
• Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
• Highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working across multiple systems, with a focus on continuous learning and best-practice development.
