About the role

A superb opportunity has arisen in the form of a Retail Manager within Royal Academy of Dance Enterprises (RADE). Reporting to the Head of Trading and working closely with the retail and online admin team. You will be responsible for leading the operations of RADE with particular focus on the management of the retail team, as well as the day-to-day running of the retail outlet and e-commence sales.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, preferably dance trained individual with retail management experience within a store and e-commence capacity. As a Retail Manager, sound interpersonal and customer service skills, together with all round communication skills in English will be needed as you will write online copy and work with a wide variety of internal stakeholders. Experience of people management including the training and support of colleagues and experience of recruitment and selection processes are also required.

Flexibility regarding working hours is required as the role includes the need to work occasional evenings and one in two Saturdays as per the needs of the business.

Due to the nature of the RAD’s work, the successful candidate will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service. Applications which do not include a full employment history and reference details will not be taken forward to the shortlisting stage.

The post you are applying for is classed as having a high degree of contact with children and involves ‘regulated activity’. As such it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
