Retail Operations Manager (12 month FTC)

We are looking for a Retail Operations Manager to join our Retail HQ team. Reporting into our Retail Director, the role will ensure that the day-to-day operational requirements for all store activities are conducted accurately and in accordance with internal and external requirements.

The Role

Your daily to-dos might look like this:

Store Operations

  • Continuously improve retail operations, ensuring effective communication and execution across all sites
  • Develop an omni-channel strategy to enhance efficiency and support business growth
  • Audit store operations with Regional Sales Managers to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Optimize inventory control and supply chain processes for improved performance
  • Collaborate with host store stakeholders for seamless retail execution
  • Monitor stock loss, analyze audit results, and implement corrective action plans
  • Ensure timely maintenance and upgrades through external providers
  • Support operational training for project launches and process improvements
  • Align retail targets and KPIs with Finance for clear communication and execution
  • Oversee retail communication strategy for streamlined management-to-store engagement
  • Manage the Retail Operations budget, ensuring targets are met and cost efficiencies identified
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to drive customer-focused strategies

Projects

  • Lead and support ad-hoc/ongoing retail projects, ensuring delivery on time and on budget
  • Propose ideas or opportunities for projects and initiatives which will enhance retail operations; represent the retail team in cross-departmental projects and communicate back to the Retail team
  • Lead each store opening using the retail openings calendar to deliver against timescales
  • Develop and build a library of best practices, processes and procedures for operational excellence
  • Own the Retail Calendar and disseminate information effectively across all departments

People Management

  • Be responsible for line management and development of Retail Operations staff and oversee related administrative tasks/projects
  • Define Retail Operations Strategy in alignment with the Retail Director and communicate effectively to the wider business
  • Understand and demonstrate the Trinny London values and behaviours
  • Support Trinny London in delivering an inclusive culture
  • Act as an ambassador for Trinny London and communicate positively about the brand

Health & Safety

  • Develop and maintain Health and Safety operational guidance for each location, ensuring training is up-to-date per local legislation
  • Work with the Health and Safety Consultant to ensure procedures stay aligned with legislation and industry requirements
  • Ensure all risk assessments are completed and filed in accordance with legislation
  • Manage the PAT testing process for stores
  • Ensure accident reports are completed, followed up and filed in liaison with the People Team; liaise on Fire Risk Assessments and extinguisher requirements
  • Coordinate first aider training for each site

Requirements

These skills will help you go far in this role:

  • Hybrid (Office 3 times per week) and willing to travel to stores as needed
  • Demonstrable experience in a head office retail ops position, ideally within luxury/premium space, working with suppliers and concession host stores
  • Experience managing and supporting a team, fostering an inclusive culture
  • Be an ambassador for Trinny London
  • Champion of operational efficiency, driven by process and attention to detail
  • Can-do, positive attitude
  • Strong stakeholder management, with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration
