OverviewRETAIL STORE MANAGER – 30 HOURS PER WEEK. Established in 2012, Grape Tree currently has 182 stores in the UK. We are looking to recruit an ambitious, confident and enthusiastic Retail Store Manager who can represent our brand in the BRAND NEW DIDCOT store. You will be reporting to the Retail Operations Manager.RoleYou will provide fast, efficient, pleasant and unrivalled customer service. As a Retail Store Manager, you need to ensure that the store is well stocked, clean and tidy, and that customers leave with a lasting image to encourage repeat visits.ResponsibilitiesStrong understanding of stock control, including ordering goods, dealing with deliveries and banking monies.You must be a hands-on manager.Operate the till in accordance with the company instructions.Provide the highest possible standard of customer service.Ensure shelves are well filled/stocked and faced at all times.Ensure correct pricing of products and stock rotation, including removal from sale of any goods exceeding the use-by date and advise management of any best-before issues.Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout the store.Observe company rules at all times and report any breaches witnessed.Ensure all staff fully cooperate to ensure the smooth running of the store.Essential Skills / ExperienceAbility to provide excellent customer service, ideally with experience in food retail.Good cash handling skills.Excellent staff supervision and organisational skills.Organised and practically-minded; able to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.Experience in roles such as Retail Store Supervisor/Manager, Food Retail, Supermarket, Customer Service, Convenience Store, etc. (advantageous).The store trades Monday to Sunday and it is essential that the successful candidate is flexible to work within these hours.
