GSL Education are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community in Nottingham. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere that promotes independence and confidence.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, social development, and academic progress.
- Maintain clear communication with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistent support strategies.
What You’ll Bring as an an SEN TA:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based or similar setting).
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting pupil development and inclusion.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
