SEN Teaching Assistant - Thanet

About the Role

Simply Education is looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Thanet and the surrounding areas. We have a range of opportunities available - from day-to-day supply and long-term placements to permanent positions directly with local schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties.

Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning materials and strategies.

Provide 1:1 or small group support to help pupils engage with lessons.

Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive emotional wellbeing.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

What We're Looking For

A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support.

Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.

A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A valid DBS check (we can support you in obtaining one if needed).
