SEN Teaching Assistant

The Role
You’ll be working closely with class teachers to support pupils with special educational needs, primarily those with ASD and additional behavioural challenges. This is a rewarding role where you’ll help children overcome barriers to learning, promote independence, and create a safe, engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
• Encourage positive social and emotional development
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
• Use creative approaches to engage and motivate learners
About You
• Previous experience supporting children with ASD or behavioural needs is essential
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for helping every child reach their full potential
