Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Teaching Personnel is proud to be partnering with a well-regarded and inclusive primary school in Gorton to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time role begins in January 2025 and focuses on delivering personalised support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), through both one-to-one and small group interventions.
The school, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, is known for its nurturing ethos and inclusive approach to education. You’ll be joining a collaborative and welcoming team that truly values the impact of support staff in shaping pupil outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, both individually and in small groups
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
- Support the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor progress
- Adapt support strategies to meet evolving pupil needs
What We’re Looking For:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children with SEN
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
- Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
