Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual pupils or small groups with learning activities, under the supervision of the class teacher.

  • Adapt and differentiate classroom materials to meet the needs of pupils with SEN.

  • Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs), behaviour plans, and other specialised learning strategies.

  • Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting any concerns or achievements to teaching staff and SENCO.

  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and inclusion within the classroom and during school activities.

  • Assist pupils with personal care and mobility, where required, with dignity and respect.

  • Liaise effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals ( speech and language therapists, educational psychologists).

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding and child protection procedures.
