SEN Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 1

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Key Stage 1. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

About the Role:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Year 1 and Year 2.

Support the implementation of EHCPs and individual learning plans, ensuring lessons are adapted to each pupil’s needs.

Assist in developing pupils’ social, emotional, and academic skills, helping them build confidence and independence.

Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to monitor progress and implement strategies.

Support classroom management and help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Assist with assessment, record-keeping, and reporting on pupil progress.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children with SEN, including ADHD, autism, or behavioural difficulties.

Confident in differentiating lessons and providing scaffolded support.

Patient, flexible, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment.

Experience in KS1 or Early Years settings is highly desirable.

Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a positive approach to problem-solving.
