Senior Account Manager, MMS Pharmacy Automation Retail - UK&I. The Senior Account Manager is responsible for identifying, managing, and developing prioritised accounts in the retail pharmacy and MMS segment to position BD products as a strategic partner at various stakeholder levels, supporting achievement of BD MMS sales and GP targets. The role involves developing and executing a multi-year (2 to 4 year) strategic growth and tactical plan for their accounts and managing internal teams to maximise revenue, GP growth, and strong customer relationships. Collaboration with the wider MMS sales and marketing teams is required to obtain support and ensure implementation of the plan.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategy and long-term growth development plan for BD Rowa Retail portfolio as part of a wider PA (pharmacy automation) retail growth plan.
- Obtain buy-in, active communication, and engagement with internal and external stakeholder teams to co-create value and implement BD Rowa Retail and PA Rowa systems.
- Strengthen network of key healthcare influencers regionally.
- Identify solutions that best meet customer needs through collaboration with wider teams.
- Negotiate solutions with Board-level decision makers.
- Oversee BD Rowa Retail interface requirements.
Main Activities
- Prospect, develop and manage accounts to improve revenue and GP growth for BD Rowa Retail product and services portfolio.
- Serve as the key interface to hospital management and identify solutions with senior management based on needs analysis, internally and externally.
- Guide solution development and coordinate project teams for solution implementation in the accounts, including activation of internal resources (Marketing, Business Analytics, Technical Service, CCO, Clinical, etc.).
- Establish strong personal relationships with all relevant sponsors and power sponsors on site and via relevant congresses and customer conventions; gather and share market knowledge.
- Negotiate strategic deals that meet customer and BD MMS expectations.
- Oversee implementation of solutions and act as focal point of contact for the ‘power sponsor’ in the account.
About You / Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a similar role, with experience promoting high-value equipment and board-level negotiations.
- Strong understanding of the national healthcare system, its reimbursement/dynamics, and hospital landscape is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from a broad range of business and technical disciplines and to influence these groups to achieve objectives.
- Excellent business development and leadership skills to drive solutions.
- Ability to work effectively as a member and leader of multi-functional teams.
- Flexible with regard to travel.
Salary & Benefits
Salary range for the role: £65,000 - £75,000 + bonus + benefits.
Location: Winnersh, GB (primary work location). Remote or field-based arrangements may be indicated in the job posting.
