OverviewSenior Retail Analyst role at Holland & Barrett. This position is based in London or Nuneaton with hybrid working arrangements requiring a minimum of 2 days in the office.The RoleAs a Senior Retail Analyst in the Omnichannel Analytics team, you’ll partner with stakeholders across Central Operations, Retail, Store Format, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience to drive improvements in availability, customer experience, loyalty, conversion, fulfilment, labour, shrink, and Click & Collect. You’ll act as a senior lead within the Retail analytics squad, owning delivery from deep dive through to decision, and mentoring mid-level analysts in how to deliver business impact. You’ll work with a modern data stack including Redshift, BigQuery, Matillion, and Retool.What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)Lead delivery of insights that drive performance across store operations, service, fulfilment, and omnichannel journeys.Partner with stakeholders across Central Ops, Retail, Format, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience to identify and solve business challenges.Write clean, efficient SQL to analyse large datasets across store performance, labour models, shrink metrics, and fulfilment operations.Build dashboards in Metabase that surface KPIs, performance outliers, and actionable insights for field teams and central operations.Run deep dives into operational pain points such as store availability, C&C failures, missed picks, and schedule adherence.Own projects from brief to outcome—including discovery, prioritisation, stakeholder alignment, and delivery tracking.Collaborate with BI Developers, other Embedded Analysts, and cross-functional squads to land scalable data solutions.Mentor mid-level analysts on analytics delivery, tooling, and stakeholder engagement.Work with a modern data stack, including Redshift, BigQuery, Matillion, and Retool.The Person / QualificationsWhat We're Looking ForSQL expertise: Confident writing advanced queries across operational, retail, and fulfilment datasets.Central operations knowledge: Understands store KPIs such as availability, shrink, productivity, labour planning, and in-store fulfilment.Stakeholder influence: Partners effectively with Central Ops, Retail, Format, and Field teams to deliver actionable insight.Delivery ownership: Leads projects from scoping through to delivery and iteration, balancing pace with precision.Communication: Able to translate operational insight into clear business recommendations.Visualisation: Designs usable dashboards in Metabase or similar tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) to support day-to-day store performance and long-term planning.Collaboration: Works well in squads, across disciplines, and with BI and Ops peers.Education & Experience: A degree in a quantitative field and 4–6 years of analytics experience—preferably with exposure to retail operations, in-store analytics, or supply-driven service environments.LocationThis role is based in London or Nuneaton, and may require travel to other Holland & Barrett locations.
